Sandra Williams replied to Julie's discussion Inks for Collagraph, which ones to buy????
"HI Julie, The inks I prefer for their transparency & luminosity are Charbonnel etching inks. I use them for everything including viscosity printing, although I use a block pining ink for lino. Another reasonably priced ink is the rubber based…"

Please check out the results from my first photogravure workshop that Unai San Martin and I held with the new Phoenix tissue. It was an incredible week working with and learning from Unai.

Hi Sandra
I haven't been looking in for a while. So I am planning to come to Sydney 18 March 2011 and I wonder if I could come and see you in the studio? This is a week end of course, so you might not be there. See what you think.
cheers
Susanne

I can't rember what you wrote but did you go to the Canberra symposium?
I would have liked to contribute to the Impact 7 one in Melbourne next year but the deadline came so soon and also the statement required was confusing. I wasn't clear about whether it was ok to just submit one work for a groupshow or not. How did you fare?

Hi Sandra
Just a comment on the Impact 7 in Melbourne next year. I found out that any artwork one wishes to have in it must be submitted before 1 October. Oooops. Glad I asked!

Thanks for that thought on Canberra symposium. Since you're going it would be good to have a little report from it if possible. I like the idea to take part in the Impact 7 in Melbourne next year and look forward to finding out more about it. To draw directly on the plate is courageous. I guess it is a good way of getting past the deliberate.

I have second thoughts about going to the symposium. Mainly that it will be a little costly for me with accomodation and all. Also I'm not sure if talks are what I need right now... It would be good to come to Sydney at some stage though and visit the studio and see lots of new work. I feel that contacts with other printmakers is probably what I need now. What are you making at the moment? Anything new?
I have a project in the making which is a collaboration with a singer songwriter. We are making a work for an award at the end of August. It will be around the theme of water.

Hey Sandra
Are you considering going to the print symposim at the national gallery in Canberra in October? I am definitely going (unless it is too dear) and then coming to Sydney afterwards. It would be very nice to visit Wharingah studio then approximately 18 October. Can you tell me if you will be available to show me around?
